Note: We were able to raise the money for our computers so disregard teh below notice...thanks to all who helped us meet our goals. - h
Well, it was done on a whim really...
It took me a while to decide to do this, and maybe I
should have long ago...it just didn't seem to be that big of a deal, at least to me. Only a small number of people
have read my unpublished work and they've conspired together in talking me into publishing these blogs in
"book" form. I personally wouldn't refer to this as a book...I didn't sit down and write these entries for
that purpose but if it helps us build our kids the computers they need, then yeah, I'll call it a book...I'll call it a
pink pig penguin if that's what it takes.
Clicking the banner below will take you to the website that is handling the orders and shipping. All funds go to the K4K account so you know your purchase will go to good things.
Thank you for helping us do what we need to do.
All-righty Then...
and thanks a bunch
It was a lovely drive...really it was. The promise of spring was in the air and the cool morning was already giving
way to a warmer afternoon by the time I got to my compadres along the side of the road outside of Arlington Texas.
Rescue One was a success.
That "rescue" was necessary due to an overworked transmission in our K4K van. I had sent Ryan and his
girlfriend to Fort Worth to pick up 9 17 inch monitors that K4K purchased at an extremely cheap price. Unfortunately,
the transmission of our van paid the price for its valiant effort and with the help of a tow dolly, we now have our van
and our monitors home.
Unfortunately again, we are dead in the water without our prime mover. It is going to be cheaper just to put a
used transmission in Old Faithful than it is to repair the transmission and we are short about 600 dollars for our
efforts. If you could see your way clear to give us a hand getting back on the road, we would be more than
grateful...again, and as we always are. Here is the donation link
thanks...

Hey folks,
Stuff happens and being so, we're moving our stuff over to blogger.com. While Serendipity has been good to us, blogger has matured to the point where it is almost silly to pay for hosting a site just for a blog. The old Lobby4Linux site will be reverting back to a Linux Advocate site soon, now that Sander has expertly finished www.fixedbylinux.com. Please adjust your rss feeds and bookmarks to reflect the new home of blog of helios
http://linuxlock.blogspot.com/
See Ya There.
